I have decrypt the hash and i have the password, but is incorrect ???
I think the challenge is not work.

The answer is the SHA-1 of this password.

I have decrypted the Sha256 hash as well it is (*****) 5 chars long. But Sha1 of that plaintext password still doesn’t work ? Do i need to look further ?

I know I’m over complicating this some how. I can’t seem to even find a way to decrypt the broken 256 bit starting hash.. Every decryption platform I use just says it’s an invalid hash. I can’’t even figure out where to start. I know this isn’t really that complicated.

Take a very good look at the supplied hash , you may spot something.

@OleNoob Thank you, @Kros thing with the * in the middle of the original hash threw me off. It was obvious.

I really can’t figure it out, I know the answer is right there in front of me but ughh !
Can anyone help ? Is there a piece of knowledge about session interception or transmitting that I should know to solve it ?

Check if the website or tool you are using to generate SHA1 is giving you all caps. the answer is case sensitive
